Mexican Gold Pesos are minted by the historic and prestigious Banco de Mexico. The Peso is an iconic piece of Mexico's currency, first released in 1921 to mark 100 years of Mexican Independence from Spain. Mexican Gold Pesos were minted by the Mexico City Mint in a variety of sizes. There are a total of 6 different denominations: 2 Gold Pesos, 2 1/2 Gold Pesos, 5 Gold Pesos, 10 Gold Pesos, 20 Gold Pesos, and 50 Gold Pesos. The varying denominations provide a wide range of investment possibilities. Mexican Gold Pesos are composed of 90% gold and 10% copper.
